- Carol, thanks for the great ideas to Deniece and I. The idea of making
- the teams randomly, is a good one. I also like the idea of giving each
- member of the team a specific duty, accountability is the key I guess!
- I was wondering how frequently you break your kids into groups (once a
- week, twice, or daily?) I'm trying get the idea of how it would be best
- served in my classroom. When do you assign homework, before, after, or
- during the time they are in their groups? I'm a real beginner in this
- CL stuff so I hope you don't think my questions are too dumb!<grin>
- I am certainly going to use your idea of the "re-sodders" in my unit of
- area and volume!! I have the perfect facilities for my kids to do that
- one.
- I also saw your message about telecommunications in our schools.
- I am in a 6,7,8 middle school with one modem set up in the library area.
- Right now the facilities are more directed to teachers than to
- students. I am currently enrolled in a telecommunications class and
- that is how I got hooked up with a local board and the K12 network. I
- am going to propose to my school that they begin to use this board and
- take advantage of the network. Who knows what will happen?!?
- Thanks again for your response. Melanie
