- Peter,
-
- I was pleased to read your informative letter
- about all Daylight Savings in New Zealand
- and Australia as well as about England,
- Scotland, Italy and France! It was a nice
- atlas-reading experience for _me_. I will
- present your information to my students and
- guide them in analyzing your information and
- making comparisons with the northern
- hermisphere.
-
- In Spokane we enjoy having it stay light until
- almost 10 p.m. in the summer. But alas, the
- days grow shorter every day as summer vacation
- draws to an end. During our shortest days in
- winter it gets light around 8 a.m. and dark by
- 4:30 p.m. Many people get depressed during
- the long dark days of winter.
-
- So think of us now. As our days are getting
- colder and shorter, yours must be doing the
- opposite!
-
- It must have been James Aitchison's reply from
- Canada that you saw. I'm glad it finally got
- down under!
-
- Thanks again!
-
- Should I say ooroo, hooroo, kia ora, ciao,
- sayonara, adieu, adios, or goodbye?!
-
- Julie
- :-)
