  14. Thank you for your letter. We enjoyed hearing about Spring. We went for a walk 
  15. around our block to see what we could see.

  17. Location: Spokane, Washington 47'39"  N. and 117' 25" W
  18.  
  19. Weather: We have had a rainy month so far. We noticed puddles and full storm
  20. drains everywhere. For several days it has been foggy and cloudy. On Wednesday 
  21. we woke up to find 3 inches of snow everywhere. Luckily we didn't have school
  22. so we could play in it all day. (Veteran's Day holiday) Mary says the
  23. temperature is between 33- 37 F.

  25. Plants: We saw orange, red and maroon berries on bushes. We saw green grass
  26. which was brown last time.  There were even dandelions and a few daisies still 
  27. blooming.

  29. Birds: We found six puffed up birds. We talked about how birds puff up their
  30. feathers to keep warm. It helps make air pockets in their feathers to help
  31. keep warm.

  33. Minibeasts: We didn't see any insects.

  35. Daylight: We went walking at 2 p.m. The street lights were on. It wasn't dark
  36. yet but Leslie said that it is dark when her dad comes home.  (sunrise is at 7 
  37. am and sunset is at 4:15 p.m.). Because it was foggy it seemed sort of dark
  38. all day.
