- I read an interesting article the other day. In terms of percentage,
- the U.S. murder rate peaked in the 1920's and 30's. It dropped quite
- a bit in the 40's and 50's and started to slowly rise in the 60's
- and is still slowly rising overall (there are ocassional dips in the
- year to year report). However we have yet to exceed the murder rate
- in the 20's. So yes the murder rate has gone up in the last 30 years
- and no it has not gone up in the last 60 years. Simple? <grin>
