- Here is the problem. You should just use "s" (gnus-Group-force-update)
- to properly update the .newsrc.el file. Unfortunately, GNUS may not
- always realize that .newsrc.el is out of date, and thus the problem.
- Without digging through masses of GNUS' code, I suspect that the date/
- time comparison between .newsrc and .newsrc.el is only using part of
- the date/timestamp.
