  30. Here is the problem. You should just use "s" (gnus-Group-force-update)
  31. to properly update the .newsrc.el file. Unfortunately, GNUS may not
  32. always realize that .newsrc.el is out of date, and thus the problem.
  33. Without digging through masses of GNUS' code, I suspect that the date/
  34. time comparison between .newsrc and .newsrc.el is only using part of
  35. the date/timestamp.
