- #Can you tell me what to do about these error messages, logged to
- #DECW$SERVER_0_ERROR.LOG
- #
- #A staff user has been trying (unsuccessfully) to run an X-windows application
- #called Lispworks (from Harlequin) which produces these log messages.
- #
- #The X-windows application is on a Unix machine, which he accesses remotely via
- #a TELNET session, from our VAXstation, which has motif installed.
- #
- #He has set up his security option OK in the session manager,
- #and can run X-applications such as xclock, but not this application.
- #He is using tcpip transport, not DECNET.
- #
- #Thanks for all your suggestions.

- I've seen this occur only with the DECwindows/Motif 1.1 Server and using
- X11R5 based applications. The only one I've been able to trace is when
- using XView 3.0 againist a DECwindows server. I this case, the XView
- application tried to InternAtom on an Atom that wasn't there and the
- Server on the VAX went kabloom!. I've also seen this happen when using
- any application built using CLX as well, though I haven't gotten a
- packet trace with XScope yet.
-
- My suggestion is to get on the horn to Digital.
