- Has anyone out there try to connecting your printer with your
- X-terminal's serial port? Just like your PC, you connected the
- printer to COM1 or COM2. Right now I connected the printers to
- the workstation ttya and ttyb ports. Everytime I print somethings,
- I have to walk 100 feet(one way only) to get my print out!
- There is no problem to connect the printer to the X-terminal
- serial port. The question is how and what command(s) to redirect the
- print job to my X-terminal's serial port? If you know the answers,
- please reply or(and) followup. Please don't tell me the expense way,
- buy a print server or printer with an Ethernet interface board.
-
- I can do the opposite way, redirect my PC's print job from COM port
- to Ethernet interface card, and print out at workstation tty# port.
