  22. It flushes the GC cache, and it is usually needed only in extension
  23. writing.  It is used unnecessarily in the example given,
  24. because the GC cache is flushed automatically by any call that uses
  25. the gc such as XDrawLine.
  26.  
  27. It's an R5 function so it's only in R5 X manuals.
