- Does anybody think there are alternative windowing programs on par
- with X that will be developed in the future, or will so much work
- and time that people have invested in learning X prevent anything
- drastically or moderately different from being developed?
-
- What would a new windowing system have to do that would make
- it competitive with X? I can think of two issues that seem to
- determine the success of a system, price and portability.
