- I don't remember if the original post had restrictions on location for the
- restaurant but are a few that I've been to.
-
- Le Gaulois in Alexandria on either King or Duke Street. There was a
- writeup for it last year in the Washingtonian which encouraged me to go
- and try the Pot au feu which is one of my favorites. It was an all around
- great meal and I am definitely going to return there once the ocassion
- arises. If I recall correctly, I think dinner was around $30/person and
- well worth it.
-
- Another nice place with a pretty good atmosphere is the Bistro
- Francais on M St. and 24th. Again, it's been a while but I had a steak
- salad that was very tasty and something chocolate for desert. I think I
- got out of there for about $25/person.
-
- Finally, I recently went to brunch at Normandie Farms on Falls Road in
- Potomac and I had a really nice Country French buffet. There was a
- HUGE layout of different foods. Pretty much anything you could possibly
- name was out on the tables and always kept fresh. It was $17.95 a
- person and the atmosphere was very friendly. I highly recommend it.
-
- Hope these helped.
