- Thanks for the many email replies! Out of 7 (and counting) replies
- there have been two suggestions:

- 1) Use the OpenWindows/Xview 'calctool'. This will run under normal
- X-Windows if you set the environment variable LD_LIBRARY_PATH to
- the OpenWindows lib directory. On our system this is
- /usr/local/openwin/lib, your mileage may vary.

- 2) Use the program called 'hexcalc', available at many fine FTP
- sites.

- The first one works for me. Although it's somewhat OpenLook-ish (a GUI
- which I personally find ugly as sin) calctool is pretty solid and has a
- lot of nice features. If only it did RPN... Actually, they didn't go
- overboard on the OpenLook style so I don't really mind it too much.

- I don't have experience with hexcalc. We don't have access to FTP here
- (silly, ineffective security policies!) so I've had to request it via
- ftpmail. I'll see what it's like if my request is ever actually filled.
