  28. We have studied these a little.. and have bought none of them yet..
  29. They all lack something, or have something annoying.

  31. XVision is about the best of the lot, but it has an annoying
  32. license number system, we are not going to play with tens or
  33. hudreds of different numbers.

  35. HCL-Exceed is another good product, but the version we had lacked
  36. MIT Magic cookie support.

  38. DEC products.. I haven't seen recent version, Digital Review did not
  39. like it at all.. Previous version lacked XDM, MIT cookie, X11Rn
  40. standard fonts, worked only on pathworks TCP/IP stack which
  41. was huge and did not use bootp..

  43. DesqviewX.. is an OLD version of GSS PCXview + DV + all the nice
  44. added features.. but at least our version was slow... 
  45. and very ugly code: it patched PC/TCP on the fly..
  46. and its installation program messed the hard disk..

  48. PCXview: the recent version is from GSS. NCD is not going to use it,
  49. they give a long upgrade guarantee because it is only a bait to sell 
  50. their real version, which is a port of their X terminal software to 
  51. x86 hardware. The beta should be out december, the product next spring.

  53. I think this is going to be THE product. Unfortunately the bait has
  54. some bugs.. at least our version had problems with colormaps and
  55. non-USA keyboard..

  57. There was something we have also tried, but the name escapes.. the
  58. product did not do very well anyway.
