  16. It is already possible to do this.  You can put an encapsulated PostScript
  17. figure into xfig.  If the eps file has a PostScript preview it will
  18. be displayed.  The resolution is not perfect but it allows you to
  19. annotate it.  The real PostScript is printed when you print the 
  20. xfig composite, not the preview.

  22. How do you get a PostScript preview in the eps file?  Easy, use xv.  xv will
  23. display many graphics formats (including xwd) and convert them to other
  24. formats including eps.  At the top of the "save PostScript file subpane
  25. be sure to click on the preview option.
