  11. Xloadimage version 3.03 is now available for anonymous ftp from
  12. export.lcs.mit.edu /contrib/xloadimage.3.03.tar.Z.  This is primarily
  13. a bug-fix release -- it fixes all of the known common bugs.

  15. Version 3.03 contains the following bug-fixes and enhancements over
  16. version 3.01:

  18. * JFIF-style JPEG images are now supported.
  19. * Color PCX files are now supported.
  20. * -zoom now works with 24-bit images.
  21. * -rotate now works on all systems at all multiples of 90 degrees.
  22. * A bug in root window handling for DEC and NCD servers has been
  23.   fixed.
  24. * A bug in -normalize has been fixed.
  25. * Several bugs in -smooth have been fixed.
  26. * Several bugs in -merge have been fixed.
  27. * The man page now gives correct information on slideshows.

  29. If you do not have ftp support I can email copies, but I would prefer
  30. not to do so as the shar files total approximately 650k (the JPEG
  31. loader is most of the increased size).  I'm working on a way to reduce
  32. the transmission requirements but they will be significant
  33. in any case.
