-
- After looking at the source, I found that there are only two ways.
-
- (1) set the font of the containing panel, *before* you create the list
-
- (2) set the font on each item in the list when you insert it.
-
- If you do (2), you must batch your inserts with the XV_ATTR_LIST stuff,
- as otherwise eternity will come and go and hell will freeze and thaw if
- you have more than a few dozen items in your list. But if you batch it
- all up it works well.
-
- It is clear that XView would benefit greatly from the tabbed lists that
- Microsoft Windows and OSF/Motif provide.
-
- On the other hand, asking for new features in XView is only slightly less
- productive than asking for continued support for TNT and NeWS, which amounts
- to a cross between necromancy and the wistful longing that people experience
- when things of beauty pass from this world and are seen no more upon
- Midde Earth.
- Oops, got carried away :-)
