- Thanks to olvwm's virtual screens, I recently made the switch from
- Motif/X to OpenLook/olvsm. For a relative novice on open look
- environment I have two questions:
-
- 1. One of the most frequent window operations is select/copy in one
- xterm and paste to another window, be it another xterm or a DECterm
- from a remote VAX.
- The X convention seems to be but1/drag is selection and but2 is
- paste. Often times before the paste, I need to click on the menu/title
- bar of the another window to bring it up front. This will then
- de-select the region I just select.
- What's the best way to solve this problem?
- I'm aware of the recent discussions on xterm key binding of cut/paste
- but I would rather stay with the simple,
- select, click on menu bar, and paste sequence.
-
- 2. Is there a way to circle through all active windows from keyboard
- or mouse?
- I remembered in twm there's a f.circle (or something like that), is
- there's a equivalent in olwm?
- Thanks.
