- : I was just logged into a DRS6000 SPARC box from ICL. It's running SVR4 and
- : the xterm (yes /usr/bin/X11/xterm) shipped with that system seems to
- : be something similar to R3 xterm compiled with the OLIT toolkit. It has
- : the Open Look scrollbar and pinnable menus. Maybe it's part of the XWIN
- : package from AT&T? I don't know if the source code is available.

- Yes, like the above states, my quest is for an Xterm that looks and
- feels like an OPEN LOOK application. I think there's a definite need
- for one out there. I know all the users here (most using Xterm
- through MacX with it's single button mouse) would certainly love to
- have one.
-
- And I think that the next poster nailed it about that Xterm being
- available on AT&T's distribution of OPEN LOOK. You see the place
- where I saw this Xterm was in the Sys V, Rel 4, An Introduction by
- Rosen, Rosinski, & Farber. And from the examples and such, I get
- the impression that these guys work (or at one time did) for AT&T.
- Page 911, if anyone's interested. (Are any of you authors out there?)
- It got me all excited, and I went and searched the whole tree, the CD,
- Export, and the FAQ. Guy Harris also said that he'd heard of some
- such beast being grown at AT&T but didn't remember if they'd let it
- roam free in the world.
