- 3.1-beta4.tar.Z is not a release; it is a snapshot that I want certain people
- to test on platforms to which I do not have access (and I sent them e-mail
- individually). It has some problems that we hope to fix shortly. Sorry for the confusion.
-
- InterViews 3.x is a research software system, which means there is
- no explicit support provided. Naturally, we try to help as much
- as we can.
-
- As for the scheduling, I'm not happy with recent performance either.
- Unfortunately, this fall has had a number of other committments
- for me that have not only taken away some of my time but also
- made it harder for me to estimate how long finishing off a release
- would take.
-
- I have been putting a lot of effort toward the X Consortium and
- related product efforts, but it will be a while yet before we know
- how that will turn out. It would certainly help if anyone stated
- to their favorite vendor that the vendor should support the effort.
