  28. Yeah, but you paid for Windows and OS/2.  I have a rather nice X spreadsheet
  29. and WYSIWYG word processor on my Linux system, and all free.  No complaints
  30. here.

  40. Single user mode under *nix implies root access.  This is not, IMHO, a
  41. very good default.  I don't log in as root on my own Linux system unless
  42. necessary.  If you do, don't complain when you accidentally blow away
  43. the /bin directory or something.

  45. But *nix admins are not perfect, and I've blown away a directory or two
  46. in my day.  Actually, I have a large file of *nix administration horror
  47. stories that I will be editing and posting to the net in the next few
  48. days.  Just in case you want to pick on *nix some more... ;-)
