  13. I am having a problem in latex with the labeling of parts of a figure. I
  14. would like the numbering to be:

  16. 1.1
  17. 1.2a
  18. 1.2b
  19. 1.3 etc.

  21. I don't need to be able to refer to parts a and b separately, but would
  22. like to have them correctly added to 
  23. a list of figures. I have a manual hack to do this, but was wondering if
  24. anyone had a better way?
