- Unfortunately, this is the old EBCDIC-ASCII translation thing. I would
- love to find a way to combat this (short of encoding everything, which is
- the only way I am aware of to do this). Mailers can also do other things,
- such as strip blanks at the end of lines, expand tab characters, abend
- lines in excess of 80 characters, and on and on, ad nauseum. This is why I
- have attempted to include checksums on FILESERV files and why I truly
- appreciate it when people use the standard file headers proposed and
- supported via software by Nelson Beebe (so I am sure I am getting what they
- sent).
