  24. The LOLLIPOP package includes the files for Victor Eijkhout's Lollipop TeX,
  25. version 0.93 (15 November 1992).  The Lollipop format tries to bridge the
  26. gap between the fact that in TeX anything is programmable, and the fact
  27. that doing so is too hard for the people such as typographers, who know
  28. actually what to program.  Or even for seasoned programmers.
  29.  
  30. Lollipop is a macro package that gives the user powerful tools for
  31. programming macros for lists, headings, output routines and a number of
  32. other things.  The Lollipop macros take the specifications for a macro, and
  33. then construct that macro.

  35. Lollipop is not finished, but it is already quite powerful; it was used to
  36. typeset Victor's book 'TeX by Topic', for instance.  Anyone who is
  37. interested should format the manual and have a look at the examples in it.
  38. They document the current power of Lollipop (really: all examples,
  39. including of output routines, are formatted on the fly).
  40.  
  41. To facilitate distribution, the package is provided in a 4 part UUENCODEd
  42. file, which UUDECODEs to lollipop.zip, which UNZIPs to the full file set
  43. (contents listed below).  To retrieve the files, include:
  44.  SENDME LOLLIPOP
  45. in the body of a mail message to FILESERV@SHSU.BITNET (FILESERV@SHSU.edu).

  47. For anonymous ftp retrieval from Niord.SHSU.edu (192.92.115.8), the ZIP
  48. file (LOLLIPOP-0_93.ZIP) is available in [FILESERV.LOLLIPOP] and the
