- There is an excellent environment for the emTeX PC installation for English
- and/or German speaking users. It provides an On-line help for the most impor-
- tant LaTeX-commands. The help window appears when moving the cursor onto
- a command like \pagestyle and pressing Ctrl-F1. For the moment, only the
- german On-line help is available via anonymous ftp, I think the english
- version is currently in work. However, the program contains a documentation
- describing how to develop a file for on-line help.
- Ask the author for more details. The following is an author's announcement
- for the newest version.
-
- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
- TeXShell is an integrating environment and user interface for
- the emTeX package, an excellent TeX implementation for PCs
- under DOS and OS/2.
-
- The 2.5 version of TeXShell had some minor bugs, which are
- fixed in the new release. The only new feature is word wrap
- for the internal editor. The option file format has _not_
- been changed, so the upgrade requires only replacing the
- overlay and documentation; an included batch file will do
- this. However, it is important to delete all DSK files when
- upgrading.
-
- The new version can be found in the file TS251.ZIP in
- ftp.tu-clausthal.de, dir /pub/tex/pc/shells
- ftp.uni-stuttgart,de, dir /soft/tex/machines/pc/emtex-texshell
- both via anonymous ftp.
