- I am currently installing TeX on our system, and everything went ok until I
- tried to install german hyphenation patterns. What I want is a gtex and a
- glatex with preloaded german pattern dictionaries. I successfully got the
- patterns from the server in Stuttgart and also succeeded in making the
- format files gplain.fmt (or gtex.fmt) and glatex.fmt. But now I don't
- know how to make executable files. A readme suggested to use virtex to
- load the formats and then to core dump and undump the core, but I had to
- discover that our System (Sun 3's under SunOS 4.0.3) does not have an
- undump command, so what can I do? I believe it is now big deal to make
- executables out of the formats, but can someone please help me? Thanks,
-
