  13. I'm using EmTex on an IBM PC. I am using a borrowed FX-80 and while the
  14. quality of the result is adequate (I only need draft quality, final
  15. versions I can print at school), the speed is abysmal (~6 pph [pages per
  16. _hour_]). I don't have the money for a laser printer and don't need laser
  17. quality, so I'm considering buying a mid-range 24-pin printer ($300-$500).
  18. I'm interested in getting ideas of the speed printing TeX documents of
  19. various printers. I'm especially interested in the Epson LQ-870, as this
  20. was reviewed in last year's PC mag printer issue and was among the fastest
  21. printers for graphics. I'm also interested in the Panasonic KX-P2124, as a
  22. somewhat lower cost alternative. Any hints or pointers would be appreciated.
