  12. It's probably a FAQ, but:

  14. I'm using Interleaf 5.3.0 / sun4 on a SPARCstation 1+ under
  15. Sun OS 4.1.1., connected to a HP Laser Jet III D with a 
  16. HP PostScript Cartridge, 4 MB RAM.

  18. It doesn't print (most times) !
  19.  
  20. Step by step:
  21. The Postscript-files go to the right queue, stay there for
  22. some time and with a little luck some of them appear on paper. 
  23. After this act the printer stays busy forever: Message Daten-
  24. bearbeitung (data execution) and blinking LED. The following 
  25. job disappears - PS ready. 
  26. Most jobs disappear after some execution time without any notice.
  27. The (test-)jobs are quiet small, about 60 kByte, 2 pages.

  29. I used Interleaf 4 for years at the same devices without 
  30. complaints. (Oh - there was one "unprintable" example too, 
  31. I never found the significant difference to the "friendly" ones 
  32. and so our local sales- and servicemen didn't).

  34. Usual Postscript-Files (Net, Sun-Demos) can be printed 
  35. without problems.

  37. If I produce pl-files, use pl2ps following to the printcap-entry
  38. and execute lpr -Pmyqueue xy.ps, the same things will happen.
  39. I can't apply pageview to the Interleaf ps-files due to 
  40. Error:undefined, stack: executing a4tray.

  42. The tip: comment out the line /mark 0 def in pspro.ps_5_3_0 
  43. caused no changes.

  45. BTW a second question: how do I compose (R1 a ") with a Sun 
  46. Type 5 keyboard: the R1 key is missing :-)
