- The .auto files only exist while you are editing. When you close or save the
- document, the .auto files are removed. So, unless you stay logged in and keep
- your FrameMaker documents open over night, the backups will never contain
- .auto files.

- If you edit a document, don't save changes, leave it open, and still see no
- .auto files, then there is something wrong. The .auto file will be in the
- same directory as the document being edited.
