- I don't regularly read this group so I apologize if this has
- been asked before.
-
- I just brought home an AT&T 730 terminal. I was able to connect
- to my host in the main window. But when I tried to run layers so
- I could have multiple windows, the screen just locked up. Since
- I know almost nothing about layers, I'm turning to the net for help.
- Does anyone know what I should do to get layers to work? I'm
- logging in at 9600 baud via Datakit. I invoke layers with the
- following small script:
-
- TERM=730
- DMD=/usr/att/630
- DMD630=/usr/att/630
- EXINIT='set ai window=60 number nomesg'
- export TERM DMD DMD630 EXINIT
- layers -f .lay
-
- My ".lay" file contains four lines of the form:
-
- X X X X ksh
-
- where 'X' is a window corrdinate.
-
- Is there something I should include or is there a different way
- to invoke layers that would let me have multiple windows?
-
- Any help would be greatly appreciated. Please respond directly
- to sbrenner@attmail.com.
