  19. The WHT SCSI host adaptor is out, but without a DSR right now.  Several of the
  20. units have sold in spite of the lack of a SCSI DSR.  I am the person who has
  21. been drafted to write the SCSI DSR, and it will be done as soon as possible.
  22. The WHT 4A Memex card should be in production before the end of the year.  It
  23. will have a DSR, though programmers could use the memory on the card without
  24. the DSR.  Again, I've been chosen to write its DSR.  I was involved in the
  25. design of both the SCSI and 4A Memex, and several of the hardware design
  26. decisions were based on my knowledge of how to best implement software.  Few
  27. companies who have produced hardware for the TI seem to have looked at it from
  28. a software perspective.  Software development is faster when the hardware is
  29. designed to take advantage of the the best hardware- and software-interfacing
  30. techniques.

  32. Another product released through WHT is the Turbo Video PAL for the Geneve.
  33. This cuts video wait states, which speeds graphic access.  Programs that are
  34. constantly doing graphics will run noticably faster.  Of course, the speed
  35. improvement is directly related to the amount of time an application spends
  36. communicating with the video display processor.  I designed the Turbo Video
  37. PAL.

  39. As for MIDI Master 99, I think version 3.0g (for the Geneve) is ready.  I am
  40. not sure, though.
