- I have a Sparc IPC right now, and I'm considering upgrading to the
- LX. Does anyone out there have experience on this? My department has
- all OS 4.1 machines, and I would like to run our old software. Our
- department only *supports* the old OS, so I would rather use
- the old OS. The sparc announcement doesn't say if the new LX will
- even run the old OS; it only talks about Solaris 2.1. I know the new
- OS should work with the old binaries, but again, the new OS isn't
- fully supported here yet.
-
- So: can I install the old (OS 4.1) operating system on the new
- Sparc LX?
