- I was trying to export a drawing from IslandDraw in TIFF format.
- I used the "Convert..." option in Island, and it wrote out what
- is supposedly a TIFF file.
-
- But that file can't be read in either 'xv' (a PD X program for
- viewing images in various formats), or IDL (Interactive Display
- Language, by RSI systems). Both complain of "Incomplete scan
- line data on line xxx"
-
- I called Island, but their tech support said that Island writes
- "uncompressed, 8-bit color images, version 5, class P" TIFF files.
- They claim that the IDL or xv must not be able to read those formats.
- But I've checked IDL the IDL source, and it supports classes G,P and R.
- And I have a feeling that 'xv' does too.
-
- Has anyone else had a problem with Island TIFF files? How did you
- solve it? Island says there are no patches whatsoever.
-
- Please reply by e-mail, and I will summarize if necessary.
