-
- I am not familiar with waffle, but I am with PSIlink. Performance
- Systems International just released PSIlink for DOS and for the Apple
- Macintosh . I commute 4 hours a day
- and have used it every day for the past two weeks. The software is free
- but access to their nationwide Points of Presence and their server range
- from 20-40 dollars per month (depending on options and speed). Some
- points of presence charge an hourly rate. It implements a lightweight
- TCP/IP-like protocol and allows downloading of mail/news from their server.
- (you get an account like the one I'm posting from) as well as batched
- FTP requests.
-
- For additional cost, you can get a packet radio modem to be able to
- download and upload on the go.
-
- It looks like you can mail to psilink-billing@psi.com for more info.
- I am not related to PSI but am a satisfied customer.
