- Has anybody seen a problem with NIS being very slow to resolve
- IP addresses not in the "hosts" map. For example when I do
- a "netstat -r" it prints out about 1 line a minute when the
- routing is to an unknown IP address. If "ypbind" is killed
- or the IP address is added to the "hosts.byaddr" map the system
- behaves as expected.

- This particular configuration was using a SPARC 10 with SunOS 4.1.3
- was not using DNS.
