- We have a network of Suns running SunOS, an ethernet network, and
- cisco and annex terminal servers providing RS232 ports.
-
- A professor with an IBM-compatible laptop, who currently has a Sun
- workstation, wants to use his PC instead. In particular, he wants to
- be able to use his PC editor and send files to the Unix printer.
- He will buy the needed ethernet card if we assure him that we can
- connect him. His laptop is a high-end '486 running MSDOS and
- MSWindows.
-
- We currently have a PS/2 on our net using an ethernet card and NCSA
- telnet, but this only emulates a terminal. We are looking for
- something a little more sophisticates, such as we have for the mac.
-
- Any recommendations? I will summarize back to the net.
- thanks, Betsy
