- On our SUN 4/330 ,it takes nearly 2 minutes to get into the
- system after one types in the password. This problem strangely goes
- away after sometime(2 wks or so). This has happened 3 or 4 times already.
- We are running OS 4.1.1 . This is a standalone machine. I would appreciate
- very much if somebody can help me out in fixing this problem.

- This can occur when /bin/login checks disk quotas. If an NFS server
- has hung up or disappeared, leaving a file system mounted on the local
- system, the quota check on the NFS file system will delay the login
- for a couple of minutes. The problem will go away when the system is
- rebooted, the NFS file system is unmounted, or the server comes back.
