  25. Although there may be differences between Sun USA and Sun Germany I  
  26. consider those expensive support contract not as the right thing. Until  
  27. now I was always able to solve my problems alone or with knowledgeable  
  28. friends.
  29. For example, when we hooked up that SUN CD-ROM player on our old Sun-4/110  
  30. the guy at Sun told us that this could simply not work. Friendly as they  
  31. were they even sent us a plan about how to customize a SCSI1-SCSI2 cable.  
  32. In the end it came out that this plan contained some mistakes (two lines  
  33. were exchanged!).

  35. Sometimes I've got the feeling that Sun representatives rest on their  
  36. laurels and the same holds true for the service people. Although there  
  37. seems to be some hope that things gonna change I, personally, wold not  
  38. renew that contract.
