- As a followup to my question the other day about installing Sun's
- OpenWindows 3.0 on a Solbourne, I have another question. The real motivation
- for installing OpenWindows 3.0 is that it is a prerequisite for the Open
- Windows Developers Guide. I have some users who need the Guide yesterday and
- as a shortcut while we are waiting for Solbourne's OpenWindows 3.0 to be
- delivered, I thought I might as well give Sun's a try. Realizing now that my
- efforts in that area were in vain, I now have the same concern about the
- Developers Guide which we purchased from Sun. Since it is an application built
- on OpenWindows, my gut feeling is that it should work with Solbourne's
- OpenWindows. It is my understanding that Solbourne does not currently offer
- the product, so my choices are limited.
-
- The Solbourne platform on which I am installing is a 5/602 running
- OS/MP 4.1A. I would appreciate any opinions and preferably would like to
- hear from someone with direct experience. Thanks.
