  36. binary-compatibility package is done with an "ld.so" that will link with
  37. old-style libraries, while the libraries in "/usr/ucblib" are new-style
  38. - ELF, rather than "a.out" - shared libraries with routines that
  39. presumably offer BSD-compatibile interfaces.)
