- Yes! I too experienced this problem, except it was with a Sony BVW-75.
- I am glad that I am not the only person who experienced this problem.
- The people who sold the deck to me could not explain it either. I would
- get a small horizontal shift at certain edit points. However, it was
- not repeatable. It would only happen about 25% of the time. If I got
- a bad edit all I had to do was to re-edit using the exact same parameters
- and I would get a clean edit.

- I solved this problem by trial-and-error. There is a switch under your
- PVW's front panel labeled CAPSTAN LOCK. Mine was shipped with this
- switch in the 4FD position. When I moved this switch into the 2FD position
- my editing problems dissapeared!
