- Could anyone offer suggestions on third party monitors for the Indigo XS24?
- I am looking for a high-quality 16-19" monitor (1280x1024 res) to
- replace the 16" Misubishi monitor that came with my Indigo.
-
- 16" Mitsubishi monitors apparently suffer from a minor design flaw.
- These monitors have two horizontal gray lines located at 1/4 screen from
- the top and bottom. The lines are most noticable against a light
- background. I had the original monitor replaced but the new monitor
- suffers the same problem. The SGI Service Rep told me that the lines
- are wires in the screen mask and that all the 16" Mitsubishi monitors
- have this problem.
-
- This Mitsubishi monitor is certainly acceptable for many engineering
- applications. However, for my applications, I would like something
- better. SGI's only other solution is the 19" Mitsubishi monitor which
- is proportedly of better quality. However, it is $2000 more and I
- would prefer the portability of a 16".
-
- Could anyone recommend a third-party alternative in the 16-19" size range?
-
- Thanks,
- Chris
