I'm not sure what the problem is, but I suspect handshaking with the QMS. The same parallel port seems to work fine with a Seiko CH5504PM3 color printer.
I thought I had the problem licked by adding to the spool system a call to a small program I worte to reset the parallel port. But recently that stopped
working too. This is on a 4D/35 running 4.0.5. I have a call open with the
TAC that just went up one level. Anyone else have any ideas?
