  12. Given that the 8mm tape drives with data compression seem to work on
  13. SGI's, what about the 4mm (DAT) drives with compression?  Has anyone
  14. tried one of these on an SGI?  Someone in my lab talked to a salesman
  15. at Parity who claimed they worked; he also claimed an effective max
  16. capacity with compression of 8GB per tape, which sounded too high to
  17. me.
