- Given that the 8mm tape drives with data compression seem to work on
- SGI's, what about the 4mm (DAT) drives with compression? Has anyone
- tried one of these on an SGI? Someone in my lab talked to a salesman
- at Parity who claimed they worked; he also claimed an effective max
- capacity with compression of 8GB per tape, which sounded too high to
- me.
