  12. We have a Hewlett Packard HP 35480A SCSI Dat Drive and am
  13. attempting to run it off an SGI. We have tested it on IRIS Indigos
  14. running 4.0.1 and 4.0.5F and a 4D35 running 4.0.4.

  16. With the installation documentation are instructions to reconfigure 
  17. the kernel, more or less copying the paragraph,
  18. in /usr/sysgen/master.d/tpsc, beginning with -
  19.  
  20. {DATTAPE, TPDAT,2,8,"HP","HP35480A",0,0,{0,0,0,0},
  21.  
  22. And replace the first line in the new paragraph with the line
  23. below:

  27. This works fine, the system knows now knows about the drive.

  29. The recommended switch settings from the supplier are:

  40. I noticed people have them working, could someone please advise
