  13. I am fairly new to the sgi platform, so forgive me if this is a FAQ.  I am
  14. surprised that with all the great graphical user interface software on the
  15. Indigo, the utilities manual still advocates the unix "Mail" program for
  16. reading and sending mail.  Surely someone has a GUI mailing program out
  17. there.  If nothing else, I would be willing to use elm (is it public
  18. domain?)--but Mail??!?!

  20. I would also be interested in a GUI news reader.

  22. If anyone has GUI programs to do either of these things, I would greatly
  23. appreciate hearing about it.

  25. Also, I would like nifty GUI interfaces to the following if they are

  30. WAIS
  31. Gopher
  32. talk
  33. IRC

  35. Any help would be appreciated.  If there are good sgi applicable anonymous
  36. ftp sites, please let me know where they are.
