  13. I've got a 4D/360 server (Uranium) with a CD drive and a bunch of 4D/35 and
  14. Indigo clients (4.0.5 on the server; clients vary from 3.3.2 on up).

  16. I've disabled logins on the guest account ("*" in the password field
  17. in /etc/passwd on the 360), and edited its /usr/etc/inetd.conf's tftp line:

  19.     tftp    dgram   udp     wait    guest   /usr/etc/tftpd \
  20.         tftpd -l -s /usr/local/boot /CDROM/dist
  21. (folded for legibility).

  23. I also have cdromd running on the 360 to automount CD's.

  25. When I run inst on a remote machine, I can't get it to communicate with
  26. the 360 server:

  41. All "normal" network operations (NFS, NIS, telnet, ftp, etc.)
  42. are fine, so I know the network's good and both /etc/hosts and
  43. BIND have got the right names and addresses.  There are no routers
  44. bridges or gateways between the machines, just 600 feet of thinwire
  45. and a repeater.
