- I've just built Emacs 18.59 without any problems on an R4000 Indigo running
- 4.0.5F. Clearly, the patch must be included. Also, earlier Emacs
- versions (or at least 18.57) seem to have some problems with subprocess
- management (some suprocesses die unexpectedly, particularly when ^G
- is typed on a buffer, other subprocesses survive after Emacs exits when
- they should not) under 4.0.5F, while subprocesses under 18.59 seem to
- behave correctly. You can get 18.59 either by buying the FSF software
- distribution tape (thus supporting the FSF) or by FTPing the appropriate
- file in directory /u2/emacs on prep.ai.mit.edu.
