- I am posting this to try and determine if anyone listening out there uses
- p4200 routers with FDDI interfaces in them and if so what problems/resolutions
- you have had with their implementation.

- We have had problems with the routers losing contact with their neighbors on
- the ring and not being able to pass traffic for about a 1 minute period. They
- then mysteriously start communicating again on their own. The router itself
- never goes down because we can still talk to it through its console, but the
- FDDI interface seems to be confused. We have noticed the routers will get into
- a cycle of doing this and the only way to clear it is to physically power
- the router off and back on again.

- The problem has been reported to both our regional support rep and HQ. HQ
- responded with some things to watch with the ELS monitor which we are still
- waiting to try out( the problem hasn't occurred since I have reported -
- Don't it figure).
