  26. I believe both pieces of information above are correct.  They are not
  27. contradictory for the following reason.  There is a perfectly functional
  28. version of kermit and xmodem built into the 95 ROM, so there is no need
  29. to use other versions on the 95.  What you use on the other end will not
  30. be affected by the 95 bug.  Also, I believe people have succesfully used
  31. versions of kermit that were downloaded to the 95 (I don't because I don't
  32. want to waste the RAM on functionality that's already available in the ROM).
  33. If you need to use some protocol other that xmodem, kermit, the filer
  34. protocol, or the Connectivity pack DOS Connect protocol, then you may have
  35. problems unless the software was tested on a 95 and possibly modified to
  36. work around the bug.
