- I believe both pieces of information above are correct. They are not
- contradictory for the following reason. There is a perfectly functional
- version of kermit and xmodem built into the 95 ROM, so there is no need
- to use other versions on the 95. What you use on the other end will not
- be affected by the 95 bug. Also, I believe people have succesfully used
- versions of kermit that were downloaded to the 95 (I don't because I don't
- want to waste the RAM on functionality that's already available in the ROM).
- If you need to use some protocol other that xmodem, kermit, the filer
- protocol, or the Connectivity pack DOS Connect protocol, then you may have
- problems unless the software was tested on a 95 and possibly modified to
- work around the bug.
