- I just read this on the HP BBS. You can contact the author at
- akcs.jwtrav@hpcvbbs.cv.hp.com. Personally I think it's a really
- neat idea. I didn't think it would be possible to power anything
- off just the transmit pin on the 95.

- I have recently developed a trackball type device that works with the 95
- serial port (is powered by it). I am working on some applications to use
- with it. So far all I've been able to do is to get a mouse driver to load
- and wrote a little etch-a-sketch type program. I developed the thing for
- a design contest that Motorola was running for a real low power processor
- mainly just to show off that part's capabilities. Here are some
- questions for you super users...
- 1. Is there any interest in a small trackball pointing device for the
- 95? The size would be something like the moto pager module or smaller
- (match - box size maybe)
- 2. What applications would be useful or fun. I am considering something
- that will allow simple painting probably to pcx type files. I am also
- looking into ways to make the mouse operate lotus and the other built in
- applications sort of like mouse-menus from microsoft does on pc's.
- 3. The big developer question... What would you be willing to pay for a
- little mouse/trackball and some paint software???
-
- Thanks in advance. Don't laugh this is a serious post.
