Just a suggestion, try running a bindfix.  I had similar problems with a server which turned out to be caused by a broken printer queue object in the bindery.  Final way of fixing was to use one of the pd utilities (I think it was called delbind) to get rid of it; Pconsole caused immediate Abends!.
